Captain's log : Day 3&4
Tuesday, October 28, 2008 || 2:34 PM
Nothing much has been going on these few days not until friday when my dad and friends reach here. So for now it's just shop and slack. I have my eyes on alot of things already, just that i am afraid that i need more than 2 luggages to bring it back to singapore. haha.
The weather here is getting colder and I love it : P but i hate it when i shower. Because right after I stop the water flow, it gets so darn cold that i shiver like crap.. not fun.. other than that, life here is pretty relaxing and enjoyable.
It's just sad that i can't attend some of my good friend's birthday : ( but don't worry yo, i'll get something good back for ya ! : D

Bull Fight was EXCITING!
Captain's log: Continuing..Day 2
Sunday, October 26, 2008 || 2:35 PM
Hola. Okay.. continuing from yesterday.. as I was saying that everything is different here and I like the difference here , away from all the usual boring things we see in Singapore. One of the things I like most is the building structures. Every single building here is unique. Imagine buildings from the 1900 or earlier, yea.. that's is how the buildings look like, but newer.
I also like their lifestyle here, free and easy. Everyone is not hyped up about all the things all the time. They take matters easily and do things slowly(during their leisure of course). For instance eating or talking. They can talk and eat for hours and hours just to savour the moment. When I was talking the bullet train from Barcelona to Madrid, there was a couple sitting in front of me and they talked non-stop throughout the 3 hours plus ride..
I also realized that WE KIDS in Singapore really do study waaayyyy tooooo much. Probably it's because Singapore lack it's unique culture. They came to a conclusion that kids here will have no life anyway so just make them study and hence resulted in the young mindless clones that feed on books and notes. But on the other hand, studying does benefit us in the long run.
OHOH. guess what?! Their "Orchard Road" is so much different from ours. Their "Orchard Road" is outside. Meaning they have the retail stores along the streets. As for Singapore it's all inside a big building. The reason for their stores to be outside is mainly because the weather is cool and the people here love outdoors.
Im gonna go watch bull fight later!!!WOOT. HAHA. Photo time!
End of Day 2. Adios!

Captain's log : Day 1
Saturday, October 25, 2008 || 3:51 PM
Hola everybody. I just woke up. Currently it is 10 in the morning here in Madrid and 4 in Singapore if I am not wrong. It is 6 hours earlier here! So not used to it..yet.. so that means I have to go online around 4 to catch you all on msn. The temperature is pretty cold too. Around 13- 17 degrees. I need to go get another sweater!
I realized that traveling to a far away country is not as fun as I thought. Let me run through the journey we got madrid. First there was the plane ride of 12 hours to Milan, Italy, for transition, waited on the plane for an hours before it took off again for Barcelona which took another 1 hr 30 mins. We then took Metro(MRT) to Estacio de Sants where the bullet train was. However, we had to wait 6 hours before we can board. After the dreadful 6 hours long wait, the bullet train ride was another 3 hours ride to Madrid.. in total we took 23 hrs 30 mins. It is as good as traveling for one full day, and it is the same for the journey back!!!! OMG. lol.
Right now everything seems a little bit weird and unusual because I don't understand Spanish!! Different weather, different skin color people, different culture, time lag.. the list goes on. But I am enjoying the experience! haha
Anw, going out for breakfast now. I'll continue this later. ADIOS
Off I go to spain!!!

I NEED A GOOD REST!!!
Thursday, October 16, 2008 || 10:04 PM
Seriously, I haven't had a good rest since after promos till today!!!! AHHHHH. Firstly, right after promos we had open house preparation, then of cause open house itself. Right after open house, the next day I had CCAAB camp. It was utterly tiring. The activities they planned for us really pushed us to our limits or rather way over our limits.
Though it was tiring, the experience I had with Thatcher was irreplaceable. We were simply awesome as a group. We worked together really well, cooperated with each other, pushed on, encouraged, motivated and definitely had lots of FUN. Ultimately, the bonds we made were unbreakable.(We also had to give credit to Mr Slim with his long speeches that encouraged us a lot)
As I reflect back when I was at the camp, I felt that through the camp, I grew as a person(e.g values), reached heights that I had never been before(getting out of my comfort zone) and overcoming my fear of heights. Basically, I felt that I have became a better leader just over those 4 days. Now as a new and improved leader, I have learnt the importance of teamwork, encouragement and motivation. Furthermore, being a leader, I must be able to look at things from different angle or different way to approach a task. Sometimes I will have to make sacrifices where the benefits outweight the cost. Another way to put it is taking risk and take advantage of opportunities as it appears in front of you.
Lastly to understand all this, I should first understand myself.
' Lead who we are first then lead others'
Come to think of it, it took us a lot to earn the rectangular badge and I treasure it a lot. It is on our shirts for a purpose and not just for show, it is something we take pride in with all our hearts and mind. This feeling is indescribable unless you experience it.
Though I miss the camp so so much, but this journey continues and I hope that during our term as leaders of our respective CCAs, we'll work together as one student body, strive for the best and make our mark in ACJC. Truly... " The Past We Inherit, The Present We CREATE, The Best Is Yet To Be"
All the very Best for your results guys!!!! Don't worry so much because the peace the Lord give is a gift that the world cannot give, so do not be troubled or afraid : D
THATCHAR ALL THE WAY!! LOVE U ALL!!!!!
Exams Are Ending On Monday!!!! Woot!
Saturday, October 4, 2008 || 9:53 PM
After 1 whole gruesome week of exams, I am officially burnt out.. and I still have physics paper on Monday -_-
Well, promos went pretty well so far, which means I am SAFE already! Physics or No Physics, it doesn't matter. BUT, I still wanna try to do well for physics. HA.YAH. I feel happy : ) Lesser pressure to study for physics too for these 2 days too.
Let me break it down how the week went.
We started with Gp last Friday, and it was so so ~ I felt that my essay was good but the comprehension was a bit tough, which was what the majority felt.
Following Monday we had econs, it was okayy ( better than so so ). I felt that my essay was inbar but my case study wasn't that good.
Then I had a long break from Tuesday till Thursday(We had Spa and Spa is just Spa, nothing much ). It all came down to Friday. 2 papers! Geo and Math! and both came out pretty Good : )
So I was really happy and relieved that everything turned out better than I expected and I totally thank GOD for it.
I just came back from physics tuition and surprisingly I always look forward to it! It's just ultra fun with all the AC people around, like about around 25 of us! When we're not studying, we're laughing and laughing mainly about Indians.LOL. I never ever knew there were so many Indians that are against their own kind.Black.(Not to be racist or anything) But it's true!! Such as... Amrit.hahaha. Even our teacher is a joke. The second best thing he does besides teaching physics is 'suanning' people. It is damn fun if you have mastered the art of 'suanning'. And that Gary(the teacher) has his own-mini theater in the tuition centre!! Which includes a plasma TV, a Wii and many DVDs.Awesome.
Yep, anyway, I got to go rest to mug for physics tmr! Nights everyone !
